Light, compact winter backpack Sella with a volume of 24 l suitable for ski mountaineering and freeride.
The backpack features a highly breathable Dry Back Contact carrying system, hip belt, and double straps, which still offer great freedom of movement. The backpack fits snugly against the back for higher stability and dynamic movement. 3D air channels located in the EVA back panel prevent back sweating.
The durability of the backpack is ensured by sturdy, abrasion-resistant 210-denier Regen Robic® nylon, which is up to 60% more resistant to tearing and is made from 100% recycled material.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
