The Vento Powertex jacket is weather-resistant with high waterproof capabilities and fully sealed seams (water column: 10,000 mm), but most importantly, it features massive breathability (40,000 g/m2/24h) that you need to feel comfortable in it.
The Vento has a slightly longer back, a high collar, and extended cuffs that prevent wind from blowing through on downhill runs. It also features an aerodynamic, elastic hood that fits neatly under a helmet while allowing good visibility in challenging conditions. Additionally, there's a special ventilation opening at the top of the back.
The zippered chest pocket keeps essentials like gloves or an energy bar safely within reach. When not in use, the Vento can easily be stored in an integrated pocket.
This is a Salewa Committed product with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) finish made in compliance with other ecological and sustainability standards to ensure a low environmental impact.

Whether biking for a tour, biking for an ascent, or biking to the summit, you can choose your own way of traveling in the mountains. And there's no reason why the weather should hold you back, no matter what the forecast says.
Difficult snowy rocky climbs with some sections of climbing in technical ice require reliable waterproof, windproof and abrasion resistant clothing. SALEWA® has developed its proprietary, highly robust Powertex CORDURA® fabric specifically for this purpose. Its 3-layer laminate construction ensures protection from the weather, while the ultrathin polyurethane (PU) membrane ensures that moisture from perspiration can escape. The outer layer is made from 94% CORDURA® (polyamide) high abrasion resistant nylon with 6% elastane for greater stretch and freedom of movement.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
