Light, agile, and precise men's Wildfire 2 shoes with a robust upper made of recycled mesh for via ferrata, scrambling, and light alpine ascents.
Breathable upper made from recycled synthetic material with a PFC-free mesh lining. The reinforced TPU front edge provides additional protection against debris and dirt at the front of the shoe.
Wildfire 2 features a cushioning EVA midsole. The 3F system wraps the foot for flexibility, fit, and support. The Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) insole is adaptable for a wide range of fillings and adjustments to your foot.
The POMOCA® outsole is designed for precision and sensitivity in mixed mountain terrain, and its butyl compound ensures good grip on rock both dry and wet. The Salewa Switchfit lacing technology, where you simply tighten the lace at the back eyelet and pull. The foot shifts forward into the toe, pressing the toes as in climbing shoes.
The Salewa 3F System connects the instep area of the shoe with the sole and heel, promoting flexibility, support and proper fit where needed.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials.
