We have utilized everything we've learned from years of producing the highest quality carbon full-suspension bikes and added super-efficient Superlight™ suspension to create an XC race bike that has won a World Cup.
The Blur model in the race XC version features a front fork, RockShox Sid SL Ultimate, with 100 mm of travel and a rear shock, RockShox SidLuxe Ultimate, with 100 mm of travel.
The Blur may not guarantee you race victories, but being the lightest full-suspension carbon XC bike we've ever made, it could be the difference between achieving first place...or just crossing the finish line.
In collaboration with our exclusive manufacturing partner we are able to produce the toughest, lightest and best handling carbon fibre frames we call CC Carbon. However, our wheels, drivetrain and suspension specified on these models can also be of the highest quality at the CC level. Together, the frame and components create the most powerful complete package that delivers the best handling characteristics.
Proportional geometry and stiffness is our way of specifically engineering each frame size so that certain elements scale as the frame size increases - so no matter your build, there are no compromises with performance, efficiency or fit.
We've taken this concept to the next level with proportional rear center or chainstay length and uniform frame stiffness. The result is a bike that is perfectly tuned in every size.
Our priority with Superlight™ was to make sure that every kilojoule of your energy is converted into forward thrust, which meant designing something that was both lightweight and really efficient. XC racing is no longer a ride in the park - the trails are tough and the competition is fierce. With the Superlight™, you'll retain plenty of traction, but not at the expense of added weight - by reducing the number of moving parts, bearings and linkages, we saved 289g in the switch from VPP™.
Unlike the VPP™, our Superlight™ doesn't use a bottom bracket or an additional pin somewhere in the rear - the seat tube is slightly flexible.
The basic model of the Level hydraulic brakes has a mounting clamp integrated with the lever body. Technologically, the brake is based on higher-tier models, but the low selling price was also taken into account during development. The Level brake uses a classic open system with DOT 5.1 brake fluid and two piston calipers. It is suitable for XC and marathon use.
