Santa Cruz V10 8 is a purebred DH bike built on a top-spec CC carbon frame, offering maximum rigidity, low weight, and exceptional durability for the most demanding downhill courses.
The MX (mullet) concept – a combination of a 29" front wheel and a 27.5" rear wheel – ensures the perfect balance between high-speed stability and agility in technical sections. This gives the rider confidence in steep passages and tight corners.
The suspension is handled by a robust FOX 40 Float Factory Grip X2 203 mm fork and a Fox DHX2 Factory Coil rear shock, which together provide precise control and tireless performance even in extreme descents.
The V10 8 frame geometry is tuned by Santa Cruz Syndicate's racing riders and offers adjustable rear chainstay length so everyone can fine-tune their riding position to match the track and riding style.
Santa Cruz V10 8 CC MX is a machine created for speed, confidence, and absolute control – a bike that dominates downhill World Cup tracks and bike parks worldwide.
In collaboration with our exclusive manufacturing partner we are able to produce the toughest, lightest and best handling carbon fibre frames we call CC Carbon. However, our wheels, drivetrain and suspension specified on these models can also be of the highest quality at the CC level. Together, the frame and components create the most powerful complete package that delivers the best handling characteristics.
Since 2001, we've been using Virtual Pivot Point or VPP™ suspension design to bring you the best balance between pedaling efficiency and all-round shock absorption, all in an extremely strong and reliable design.
In a nutshell, VPP™ uses two parts that rotate in opposite directions to create a "virtual" pivot point, or instant center, that moves along the entire suspension path and determines the trajectory of rear wheel center movement. This virtual pivot makes this design highly tunable, allowing us to deliver the precise ride characteristics we demand, giving you the best riding experience no matter what Santa Cruz bike you ride.
