Santa Cruz V10 8 is a purebred DH bike built on a high-spec CC carbon frame, offering maximum stiffness, low weight, and exceptional durability for the most demanding downhill tracks.
The MX (mullet) concept – a combination of a 29" front and 27.5" rear wheel – ensures perfect balance between high-speed stability and agility in technical sections. This gives the rider confidence on steep descents and in tight corners.
Suspension is handled by the robust RockShock BoXXer Base 200 mm fork and the RockShox Vivid Select+ Coil rear shock, which together provide precise control and relentless performance even in extreme descents.
The geometry of the V10 8 frame is tuned by the Santa Cruz Syndicate race riders and offers adjustable chainstay length, allowing everyone to fine-tune their riding position according to the track and riding style.
Santa Cruz V10 8 CC MX is a machine designed for speed, confidence, and absolute control – a bike that dominates World Cup downhill tracks and bike parks around the globe.
In collaboration with our exclusive manufacturing partner we are able to produce the toughest, lightest and best handling carbon fibre frames we call CC Carbon. However, our wheels, drivetrain and suspension specified on these models can also be of the highest quality at the CC level. Together, the frame and components create the most powerful complete package that delivers the best handling characteristics.
Since 2001, we've been using Virtual Pivot Point or VPP™ suspension design to bring you the best balance between pedaling efficiency and all-round shock absorption, all in an extremely strong and reliable design.
In a nutshell, VPP™ uses two parts that rotate in opposite directions to create a "virtual" pivot point, or instant center, that moves along the entire suspension path and determines the trajectory of rear wheel center movement. This virtual pivot makes this design highly tunable, allowing us to deliver the precise ride characteristics we demand, giving you the best riding experience no matter what Santa Cruz bike you ride.
