The Shimano DEORE M6120 hydraulic disc brake set is designed for riders who demand high and consistent braking power, precise modulation, and reliable performance even in challenging conditions. The four-piston calipers deliver strong braking force, while the system design enables smooth and predictable control.

The brakes offer a well-balanced combination of power, stiffness, and sensitivity. Thanks to precise modulation, braking force is easy to control and adapt to the current riding situation. You will especially appreciate this during technical off-road riding, long descents, and anywhere you need to regulate braking power reliably.

Four pistons for high and consistent braking performance

The Shimano BR-M6120 calipers use four opposing pistons that ensure even pad contact and strong braking power. The system delivers stable braking characteristics in various conditions and allows precise control of braking force.

The included Shimano D03S sintered brake pads without cooling fins combine strong braking performance with long service life. The durable brake design is intended for long-term use and demanding riding.

Shimano BL-M6100 brake levers

The set includes Shimano BL-M6100L and BL-M6100R hydraulic brake levers. The levers feature a two-finger design and an additional contact point that contributes to greater stiffness of the entire braking system.

The split lever clamps make installation easier while also helping to reduce weight. The revised hydraulic hose routing improves the overall look of the cockpit.

The brake levers support the I-SPEC EV system, which allows compatible shifters to be integrated onto the brake lever clamp. The shifter adjustment range is 10°.

J-kit ready for internal hose routing

The brakes are supplied as a J-kit for both the front and rear wheel. The hydraulic hoses are already filled with mineral oil and the system is bled.

The J-kit design allows the hydraulic hoses to be routed internally through the frame or fork if needed and then shortened to the required length. To complete installation after shortening the hoses, Shimano olives for SM-BH90 hoses are recommended; these are not included in the package.

Bleeding with a funnel allows easy and clean servicing of the hydraulic system.

Installation recommendation

For installation of the front and rear J-kit, especially when routing the hoses internally through the frame and subsequently shortening them, Shimano olives for SM-BH90 hydraulic hoses are recommended. These olives are not included in the package.
