The Smith Payroll MIPS® helmet is designed for riders who love speed and demand maximum protection on enduro, trail, and e-MTB rides.
Protection is provided by a combination of MIPS technology, which reduces rotational forces during angled impacts, and zone-specific coverage with Koroyd material, which absorbs impact energy while allowing effective ventilation.
The helmet’s integrated shell structure creates a protective frame for increased strength and durability.
The helmet is equipped with the VaporFit™ system, which enables 270° head circumference adjustment via a dial, ensuring a personalized and secure fit.
It also features 19 ventilation ports and the AirEvac™ system, which promotes airflow and prevents goggles from fogging.
The adjustable visor in three positions provides practical protection from sun and rain and allows convenient goggle storage while riding.
The inner padding with Ionic+® technology actively fights odor and ensures long-lasting comfort.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
The Koroyd system consists of thousands of co-polymer extruded tubes that are heat welded to form a unique, consistent and fully engineered core. This technology can be integrated into products ranging from action sports equipment to industrial protection and child car seats. The deep green color and honeycomb shape is typical of this head and body protection system.
Created with ease of use and superior comfort in mind, the VaporFit™ system relies on a proven dial system integrated with a tuned elastic fit through engineered shapes. Each VaporFit™ system has a full 5cm of swivel adjustment. In addition, the system can be moved up/down or forward/backward at the attachment points. The end result is increased comfort with a tailored and secure fit.
AirEvac is a patented ventilation system that works with the ventilation holes on the Smith glasses, they have a constant flow of air through the entire system. Ventilation in the front of the helmet brings cool, dry air into strategically placed channels in the helmet shell. Vents on the top and back of the shell are used to exhaust hot air that would otherwise be trapped around the wearer's head. This airflow contributes to a more comfortable riding experience and also helps prevent the glasses from fogging up.
