Superior XC 6.5 Matte Mustard mountain bike is a hardtail built for XC mountain biking and sport marathons. The 2025 model year targets riders who want a sensible balance of spec and price for both training and racing. It’s built around 29" wheels, a 100 mm travel fork, and a simple 1x10 drivetrain.
The frame is made from Alu 6061 T6 Double Butted and uses Smooth Welding technology for clean weld junctions. Sport Geometry prioritizes pedaling efficiency and stability at higher speeds on XC courses. The cable routing is integrated, which protects the housing and makes servicing in muddy conditions easier. The bottom bracket uses a BSA 73 mm thread, and the rear triangle is designed with an IDK dropout.
Drivetrain: Shimano Cues shifting runs a 1x10 setup and uses a RAPIDFIRE Plus shifter. Shimano Cues cranks with a 32-tooth chainring are paired with a Shimano Deore Cues 11–42 cassette and a Shimano bottom bracket with cartridge bearings.
Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes are paired with 160 mm Alhonga rotors. The same rotor diameter simplifies servicing and keeps braking feel consistent.
Wheels and tires: The wheelset is built on STARS J25D rims for disc brakes and Shimano HB-QC300 hubs with QR skewers. CST Jack Rabbit tires in 29x2.25 are aimed at versatile XC use.
Cockpit: ONE Alloy handlebars with 12 mm rise and a 31.8 mm clamp are matched with a ONE Sport stem with a -8° angle. The ONE Sport seatpost has a 30.9 mm diameter, and the saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo, with ONE Sport Lock-On grips.
The aluminum hardtail frame with XC geometry transfers power directly into forward motion and supports snappy acceleration. The 100 mm travel fork absorbs impacts from roots and rocks, so you can hold your line even on rough gravel. The combination of 29" wheels and 2.25" tires improves stability and rollover in fast sections. The 11–42 cassette range helps you maintain cadence on long climbs without the need for a front derailleur.
Superior XC 6.5 is designed for sport-oriented riders who ride XC loops, marathons, and off-road training rides. It also works well as a versatile 29" hardtail for forest roads and hardpacked singletrack. In its class, it offers a straightforward spec with Shimano Deore components and hydraulic disc brakes.
