Comtura Prima TR 25 is a model of a racing road tire designed for tubeless use.
The tire is inflated to a lower pressure for better comfort and excellent traction in wet conditions.
The model features the Vectran Puncture Barrier for protection against punctures and cuts.
The most effective Tufo puncture protection system placed directly under the tread. The core of the puncture protection system is made from fibers VECTRAN – liquid crystalline polymers (LCP), which are five times stronger than steel. VECTRAN also offers excellent cut resistance and high impact resistance at a low weight.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture. We can most often come across names such as Tubeless Ready (TR or TLR), Tubeless Easy (TLE) or Tubeless Compatible (TC), etc. Despite different branding from manufacturers, the essence of the system is the same.
