The safe Oyo helmet allows easy use for small hands.
The shell made using in-mould technology is complemented by 10 ventilation openings for quality airflow.
Innovative safety features include the Uvex xTRA Shield forehead protection, temple protectors, and Uvex KID PROtect on the back of the head, which acts as an impact absorber while preventing the head from sliding on the child seat's headrest.
Safe and comfortable helmet adjustment is made possible by the FAS, Monomatic, and anatomical IAS systems.
Option to attach a blinker to the back of the helmet.
The blinker is not included. It can be purchased here: Uvex XB048
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
The quick adjustment system of the helmet straps allows for optimal helmet position adjustment. The helmet sits firmly on the head at all times and the straps stay in place.
The fastening mechanism located under the chin has several positions and can be easily adjusted with one hand while riding. Its flat design prevents twisting in the hands. Monomatic® is, without exception, standard equipment on all Uvex helmets.
