Enduro shoes Crankbrothers Mallet E Speed Lace for clipless pedals.
MC1 compound sole was developed for use with clipless pedals: it features a large box around the cleats for easy clipping in and out even in mud, and there is a stiff nylon insert under the cleats for excellent power transfer to the pedal.
The tread is designed for use with any MTB clipless pedals, including SPD. The stiff part of the tread under the pedal transfers pedaling to forward motion. Softer zones of the sole under the toe and heel with directional tread allow for secure walking uphill and downhill.
For a more comfortable riding experience, the shoes are equipped with a padded EVA insert that absorbs shocks.
The shoes are easy and quick to fasten using the Speed Lace system. To prevent the laces from getting in the way or getting tangled in the chain, the shoes have a pocket on the tongue. For even better fastening, the shoes feature a hook-and-loop strap.
The shoes are made of durable synthetic fiber. Ventilated mesh panels ensure high breathability. Rubber on the heel and toe provides protection for both the feet and the shoes.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
