Focus THRON2 6.6 29 800Wh mountain e-bike Diamondblack is a full-suspension trail e-bike on 29" wheels designed for long rides off-road. It sits in the mid-performance class, where the key is the combination of range, traction and confidence on descents. The concept is built around a Bosch drive system and travel-balanced suspension for all-mountain use.
The frame is made from 7005 aluminium alloy with hydroforming technology and uses F.O.L.D. kinematics with 140 mm of travel. The rear end runs a 148 × 12 mm thru-axle and a Post Mount brake mount for a 180 mm rotor. The geometry is trail-tuned with a 66° head angle and a 75.5° seat angle. Chainstay length is 455 mm and the wheelbase grows from 1187 mm in size S to 1285 mm in size XL. Sizes S to XL have a reach of 415 to 500 mm and a stack of 637 to 664 mm.
Drivetrain: Shimano Cues shifting is in a 1 × 10 configuration and uses a Shimano Cues rear derailleur. The Shimano CS-LG300 cassette has an 11–48-tooth range and is paired with a Shimano CN-LG500 chain.
Brakes: Tektro HD-M535 hydraulic brakes feature four-piston calipers. Tektro TR rotors measure 203 mm front and 203 mm rear.
Wheels and tires: WTB STi30 rims are aluminium in 29". The hubs are Shimano HB-TC500 and Shimano FH-TC500, and the tires are Maxxis Minion DHF Exo 29 × 2.5".
Cockpit: Lee Chi Riser handlebars are 800 mm wide with a 30 mm rise. The FOCUS C.I.S. 2.0 stem is 50 mm long, and the grips are VP Lock-On Grips.
The combination of 150 mm travel up front and 140 mm at the rear gives the bike support on rough trails and stability at higher speeds. The long 455 mm rear end improves traction on climbs, especially on slippery surfaces. The 66° head angle calms the handling on descents while still holding a predictable line on tighter singletrack. Minion DHF tires in 2.5" width increase grip and allow you to run lower pressure.
