The Giant Reign 1 is a full-suspension 29" bike suitable for enduro.
The excellent Maestro suspension provides 160 mm of travel, complemented by a front fork with 170 mm of travel. Four carefully positioned pivots and two links together create a virtual (floating) pivot point for the rear triangle. This neutralizes the effect of the rear brake, keeping the system fully active and highly sensitive to all types of terrain without unwanted bobbing during pedaling.
Thanks to the innovative flip chip with three different positions (low – medium – high), you can individually adjust the bike’s geometry according to the terrain, riding style, and also the size of the rear wheel. You have the option to choose from three different head tube angles – 63.5, 63.9, or 64.2 degrees, and the corresponding seat tube angles – 78.3, 78.7, or 79 degrees. This change directly affects the bottom bracket height – BB drop, which can be 35, 30, or 25 mm.
The Reign offers the flexibility to choose whether to keep the 29" rear wheel (standard equipment for Reign models) or switch it for a 27.5" variant. A larger rear wheel improves stability and the ability to tackle bumps, while the combination of both sizes adds greater agility and maneuverability to the bike. It is also possible to change the wheels as needed—quickly and easily, allowing you to achieve the desired riding characteristics according to conditions and your riding style.
