The Giant Tempt 29 2 L Mars Dust mountain bike is a 29" hardtail MTB designed for sporty riding off-road and on lighter trails. It sits in an affordable performance category where easy maintenance and practical component choices matter. It’s built around an aluminum frame and a 1x9 drivetrain for straightforward shifting.
The frame is made from ALUXX-grade aluminum and is ready for disc brakes. The new generation Tempt uses trail-tuned geometry for more stable tracking in terrain. The head tube is designed for a tapered fork steerer, which improves steering precision under braking and on rough ground. Size L is built on 29" wheels, and the frame accommodates tires up to 2.4" wide.
Drivetrain: Microshift Advent shifting is in a 1x9 configuration and uses an RD-M6195M rear derailleur with a clutch. The Microshift CS-H093 cassette has an 11–46 range, and the bottom bracket is a cartridge unit.
Brakes: Tektro HDC TKD 149 hydraulic disc brakes use 180 mm rotors up front and 160 mm in the rear. The TKD 149 brake levers are shaped for smaller hands.
Wheels and tires: The wheelset is built on Giant GX03V 29" rims with a double wall and a 21 mm internal width. Maxxis Recon Race 29x2.4" tires feature a 60 tpi casing and a wire bead.
Cockpit: Giant Connect Trail handlebars have a 31.8 mm clamp diameter and a 750 mm width. The Giant Sport stem is 50 mm long, and the Giant Sport seatpost has a 30.9 mm diameter.
The combination of 29" wheels and trail geometry boosts stability in faster sections and on rough surfaces. The Giant SXC32-3 front fork with a coil spring and 100 mm of travel filters out typical bumps and keeps the front wheel planted. Wider 2.4" tires increase mechanical grip in corners and when braking on loose terrain. The 11–46 cassette range helps you maintain cadence on longer climbs even with a single chainring.
The Giant Tempt 29 2 L is for riders who want a hardtail MTB for forest trails, dirt roads, and trail centers in light to moderate terrain. It will appeal to those who prefer a simple 1x drivetrain and the rugged durability of aluminum. Within the women’s-universal hardtail category, it targets functional equipment without complicated setup.
The Taiwanese company founded in 1972 focusing on bicycles began manufacturing them first in its home country of Taiwan and then in Europe, North America and other countries. Innovations are inherent to Giant - in 1987, it introduced the CADEX, the first mass-produced carbon road bike. Today, Giant is one of the largest bicycle manufacturers worldwide, their bikes can be found in professional cycling, but they don't forget about amateur riders. Electric bikes use a Yamaha engine, but Giant modifies it themselves using their own technologies. Giant also has its own section of bikes for women - the Liv.
This Performance level frame material features 6061 alloy with single-butted tubes to produce strong, lightweight framesets for a variety of different bikes and riding styles.
