The GT Fury downhill bike is tailor-made for racers and enthusiasts in bike parks.
The frame operates with three Flip chips. You can choose between 29" wheels or a 27.5" setup using the chip between the seat stays and the rocker link.
At the lower shock mount, there's another flip chip that allows you to set the bike with a more progressive or linear kinematics to suit rider preferences and trail characteristics.
The third chip adjusts the effective chainstay length, ranging from 440 mm to 450 mm in the 29" wheel setting and from 435 mm to 445 mm in the 27.5" setup.
The redesigned layout of the carbon front triangle reduced the overall weight by about 300 grams. The total frame weight is 4300 g without the shock. GT has placed as much of the frame's weight as low as possible to lower the center of gravity and enhance stability.
The rear brake hoses and gear cables are internally routed through the frame, winding from the front to the rear triangle around the tunnel with the rocker link. They enter the frame at the top of the head tube, giving the routing a very distinctive appearance.
The proven High-Pivot LTS suspension system, which was already used in the previous Fury model, has undergone many improvements and adjustments to make the new Fury faster and more predictable.
Another detail worth mentioning is the angle of the head tube. It is actually steeper and ranges from 62° to 63.5°. The idea here is that this complements the longer reach and provides greater confidence in corners and tighter trail sections.
