With several “Best in Test” awards and years of performance at the top level in the notoriously demanding Enduro World Series races, it's the ultimate trail machine. How could it possibly get better?
The new Ripmo V3 model is packed with features: internal storage in the down tube, a mullet-compatible derailleur, a slacker head angle, and increased coil shock compatibility.
The size adjustability has also been expanded, and size-specific details have been added.
Every rider deserves the same great ride experience regardless of height or proportions. That's why the seat tube angles and suspension kinematics are size-specific, to ensure ultimate balance and speed for riders of all sizes. Even the chainstay length and bottom bracket height are tailored to the frame size.
Ibis has added a third frame size to the middle of the bell curve to ensure the right fit. Considering 80% of their riders are between 5'5" and 6'0", they have introduced a new “Extra-Medium” size. Extra-medium (size 3) is now positioned in the middle of the size range, while size 5 remains as the traditional XL.
The sizes are: SM - MD - XM - LG - XL
With the new flip chip system, there are more adjustment options. Now you can use 29" or 27.5"/29" mixed (MX) wheels across all sizes without compromising geometry. Extra Medium and larger come with 29" wheels, while Small and Medium come with MX wheels.
We continue to use the critically acclaimed dw-link suspension platform, renowned for its climbing efficiency and strong downhill performance; it sets the standard for modern mountain bikes.
The Ripmo is based on the race-proven HD6 design, but now features a more progressive damping that's gentle on coil shocks and shorter seats, making it compatible with nearly all coils.
Size-specific kinematics ensure that every size bike will climb amazingly, while remaining quiet and composed on challenging trails.
With the frame storage system, you can take the gear off your back and store it in your bike. The latch operates effortlessly even in cold or muddy conditions and with gloves on. The doors are water-resistant, rattle-free, and sturdy.
In collaboration with Cotopaxi, a set of two internal pouches was created for snacks, tools, or whatever you need. Cotopaxi is known for its high-quality construction and sustainable practices; the pouches are made from leftover and scrap materials, ensuring each pouch is colorful and unique.
Frames and wheels come with a lifetime warranty.
