The new downhill tire from Maxxis named Assegai was developed with significant input from downhill legend Greg Minnaar. This version is a lighter option for enduro bikes.
The tire tread is a combination of the proven patterns Minion DHR II and DHF, where DHF rolls well and provides confidence on hard surfaces, in corners, on wet roots, and rocks, while DHR II adds speed and aggression during braking.
The design of the side knobs was inspired by another popular tire, the High Roller. Along with this, you have the option for tubeless use, double sidewall reinforcement, and a soft 3C Maxx Terra compound, making it an excellent enduro tire.
