The Minion DHF tire was designed for loose and muddy conditions in the NORBA downhill series.
The Maxxis Minion DHF uses ramped knobs to reduce rolling resistance with channel-cut grooves to increase the number of contact edges, ensuring better control in straight lines and precise cornering.
Depending on track conditions, the DHF version can be used both front and rear, or front paired with DHR at the rear.
The versatile 3C Maxx Terra compound provides good grip in corners and on muddy surfaces, with good durability, high mileage, and great rolling performance.
The tire construction features a kevlar bead and 60 TPI casing with EXO Protection sidewall protection.

And where there is no tube, it also reduces the risk of punctures. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared to be mounted with sealant than other "tubeless" tires. The bead of TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a true tubeless UST tire.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread pattern and profile of the tire on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for 35mm inner rim widths, but have been proven to work in the 30-35mm inner rim width range. Maxxis Wide Trail XC tires are optimized for use with 30mm inner rims, but will work well on rims as narrow as 25mm. Maxxis does not recommend rims wider than 30 mm or narrower than 25 mm.
