The durable Kestrel 38 trekking backpack is suitable for any trip and in any weather. In the rain and even during heavy downpours, your pack is protected by the raincover, which is included. It’s stored in a separate zippered pocket at the bottom of the pack.
In hot weather, you’ll appreciate the highly breathable AirScape™ back system. The hipbelt provides support and comfort when carrying heavier loads. Plus, each side of the hipbelt has a zippered pocket for small essentials.
If you head out with trekking poles, you’ll definitely appreciate the unique Stow-on-the-Go System ™ for attaching poles to the pack. Simply thread the poles through two elastic loops—one on the pack and the other on the shoulder strap—and just as easily and quickly take them out again.
Other handy features: adjustable back length, an emergency whistle on the sternum strap, ice axe loops, front and side mesh pockets (e.g., for a wet jacket), straps for securing a sleeping pad, and an internal removable divider that lets you split the pack into two compartments.
The pack is compatible with a hydration reservoir, with a dedicated space between the back system and the pack body. This access point is marked with a label featuring a water drop. The reservoir hose then easily routes through the elastic loops on the shoulder strap. After packing everything, you can also cinch it down with StraightJacket™ compression straps. And you’re ready to head out on an adventure!
