The Pirelli Scorpion XC H ProWALL is a tire designed for aggressive XC and marathon racing. It features a low-profile block tread pattern with close spacing for fast and confident riding on any hard surface, in both dry and wet conditions, thanks to the SmartGRIP rubber compound.

Tires labeled with an H are an excellent choice for XC and fast marathons, where maximum speed is a key factor. A pleasant bonus is the tire's long lifespan and reliability. These qualities are ensured by the technologies incorporated into the tire.

GENERAL TECHNOLOGIES USED:

ProWALL
The sidewall reinforcement technology provides better puncture resistance and more stable performance at low tire pressures. An added layer of nylon fabric over the casing on the sidewall increases resistance not only to cuts and pinching but also improves the overall behavior of the tire in corners, allowing for better bike control and more accurate line holding. These characteristics are achieved without compromising the tire's weight and power transfer efficiency, making tires with this technology perfect for racing XC use up to aggressive trail riding when complemented with a suitable casing (120tpi or 60tpi).

SmartGRIP
This high-end rubber compound results from Pirelli's experience gained from off-road racing circuits for 2 and 4 wheels worldwide. Pirelli engineers have developed a compound with two diametrically opposing properties:
• Cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance along with longer lifespan
• Chemical wet grip: no need to worry about changing conditions, whether it will rain or if there will be muddy and slippery sections on the course

The result is a longer lifespan of riding characteristics, providing excellent grip and traction in contrasting conditions like dry and wet, while maintaining these riding characteristics even as the tread wears. Unlike multi-compound rubber mixes, the single-compound structure of SmartGRIP allows for consistent ride properties throughout the tire's wear and its entire lifespan. The greater mechanical resistance of the rubber also offers increased resistance not only to wear but also to punctures.
