The Pirelli Scorpion XC RC tire comes in a brand new version inspired by the legendary model that made its mark on the World Cup podiums. Now, however, it delivers even greater speed, better control, and a modern design tailored to the current demands of cross-country riders. Thanks to innovations in compound, shape, and tire structure, it pushes the boundaries of performance on mixed and technical terrains.
The new tread pattern is 7% faster than the previous version. It is optimized for smoother rolling and reduced resistance while riding, resulting in a higher average speed without losing control. With its precise arrangement and tread shape, it ensures perfect contact with the ground even on rough surfaces. This is appreciated during racing as well as on long rides.
The increased tire volume improves the ability to absorb bumps and offers a smoother, more stable ride. At high speeds or in technical sections, riders can be confident that the tire maintains its optimal shape and grip even in challenging conditions. The result is more assured handling and less fatigue, even on longer routes.
Race XC Compound – speed and control
The Race XC Compound rubber mixture, developed in Italy, offers the ideal balance between grip, low rolling resistance, and long lifespan. This single-compound mix maintains consistent performance throughout its use—from the first to the last kilometer. It guarantees excellent grip even on wet stones and roots, minimizing the risk of slipping and wear.
ProWALL Construction – durability without compromise
The sidewalls with ProWALL technology are reinforced with a multi-layer nylon fabric with a density of 120 TPI, which protects the tire against punctures and enhances its stability at low pressures. This construction also improves lateral support in corners and allows for a more aggressive riding style even in challenging terrains.
