R2 Lumen Junior Bicycle Helmet for young cyclists.
The helmet features an In-Mold construction with an extended rear for maximum head protection.
It is equipped with an LED light at the back, which is a great safety feature and enhances the cyclist's visibility in traffic. It can be turned on or off with one hand without stopping.
The helmet has 23 ventilation holes, an internal insect net, and an antibacterial lining.
The fitting system adapts to the head's shape and size in two axes - vertical and horizontal. The fitting system is controlled with one hand using an adjustment wheel.
The Easy Lock system is a quick and simple system for fastening the chin straps, which improves the helmet's fit on the head. The system reduces the risk of helmet movement upon impact, thus providing enhanced head protection.
Weight: S: 240 g
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
