Rock Machine RIFF Tr 20 kids’ bike Gloss Limerock Grey is a children’s mountain bike designed for light terrain, bike paths, and everyday rides. It’s built around an aluminum frame and a simple seven-speed drivetrain for easy operation. It sits in the affordable kids’ MTB category, where functional components and durable construction matter most.
The frame is made from 6061-T6 aluminum with heat treatment, which supports stiffness and durability while keeping material weight low. The design targets kids’ MTB use, where stability and easy handling are key. The front fork is a rigid aluminum unit with Alloy Custom Tubing legs. This combination reduces maintenance needs and keeps steering precise on rough surfaces.
Drivetrain: microSHIFT DS45-7R shifting runs 7 speeds with a microSHIFT RD-M21SS rear derailleur. The Shimano CS-HG200-7 cassette offers a 12–28-tooth range, paired with a KMC Z8.3 chain.
Brakes: The Tektro MDM 280 brake system is chosen for easy modulation and consistent performance. The controls suit children’s hands and typical trail use.
Wheels and tires: The wheels use Stars J19SD rims with 24 holes and Sapim Galvanized Black spokes. Rubena Cheetah 20 × 2.10 tires provide grip on gravel and stability in light terrain.
Cockpit: One1 Alloy MTB AL-153BT handlebars are paired with a One1 MAS-MD60368 Alloy stem. A Selle Royal Junior saddle and a One1 Alloy 27.2 mm seatpost address kids’ ergonomics and straightforward adjustment.
The aluminum frame transfers pedaling power directly and holds its line on paved surfaces. The rigid aluminum fork improves steering precision and reduces bobbing under load. The 20 × 2.10 tires add confidence over roots and gravel while still rolling efficiently. The seven-speed range with a 12–28-tooth cassette is aimed at maintaining a smooth pace on gentle climbs.
The RIFF Tr 20 is for kids who ride independently and want a children’s MTB for trails, forest paths, and riding to school. You’ll appreciate it on family rides where simple handling and durability make the difference. In its class, it relies on a rigid fork and a basic derailleur drivetrain instead of a multi-speed front chainring setup.
