More informationThe Vento Powertex Jacket is weather-resistant, with high waterproofing and fully sealed seams (water column: 10,000 mm), but most importantly, it offers massive breathability (40,000 g/m2/24h) to ensure you feel comfortable in it.
The Vento has a slightly longer back, a high collar, and extended cuffs to prevent wind flow on downhill tracks. It also features an aerodynamic, stretchable hood that fits neatly under a helmet while providing good visibility in challenging conditions. Additionally, there is a special ventilation opening at the upper back.
The chest zip pocket keeps essentials like gloves or an energy bar safely on hand. When not in use, the Vento conveniently packs away into an integrated pocket.
This is a Salewa Committed product with a PFC-free durable water-repellent (DWR) finish made in compliance with other eco-friendly and sustainability standards to ensure a low environmental impact.

Whether you're biking to a hike, biking to a climb, or biking to the top, you can choose your own way to travel through the mountains. And there's no reason the weather should hold you back, whatever the forecast says.
Difficult snowy rocky climbs with some sections of climbing in technical ice require reliable waterproof, windproof and abrasion resistant clothing. SALEWA® has developed its proprietary, highly robust Powertex CORDURA® fabric specifically for this purpose. Its 3-layer laminate construction ensures protection from the weather, while the ultrathin polyurethane (PU) membrane ensures that moisture from perspiration can escape. The outer layer is made from 94% CORDURA® (polyamide) high abrasion resistant nylon with 6% elastane for greater stretch and freedom of movement.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
