The Santa Cruz Heckler SL 1 C R CH is a fast, lightweight, and playful full-suspension e-bike.
With a battery capacity of 430 Wh, it ranks among the mid-weight e-bikes. On descents, it behaves like a classic trail bike and eagerly assists on the way up. It is equipped with a powerful drive unit with a torque of 60 Nm FAZUA RIDE 60, making it one of the stronger bikes in its category.
The bike is built on a carbon frame of C specification. Frames in this series are as strong and stiff as the higher CC series frames. They are just not as ultra-light.
Quality suspension is ensured by the Fox 36 Float Performance fork with 160 mm of travel and the FOX Float X Performance shock, here with 150 mm of travel.
Business in the front, party in the back. The Heckler SL is a mullet! With a large front wheel, you easily get over obstacles and with a smaller rear wheel, you can nimbly take tight turns.
The gear system is the Sram 90 Eagle T-Type 12s series.
Theperfect combination of the right amount of cells in an aesthetic housing leads to a compact battery with a great range. In the frame the battery is placed on a special lightweight rail. The battery starts automatically when the bike moves. Depending on the bike manufacturer, the FAZUA ENERGY 430 is either removable or permanently installed.
We use the same proprietary processes for our "C Carbon" frames as we do for our highest spec frames to retain the same legendary strength and stiffness that our CC frames are known for, but there is a slight weight penalty. We've achieved this by using a different grade of carbon material that results in minimal weight gain.
Since 2001, we've been using Virtual Pivot Point or VPP™ suspension design to bring you the best balance between pedaling efficiency and all-round shock absorption, all in an extremely strong and reliable design.
In a nutshell, VPP™ uses two parts that rotate in opposite directions to create a "virtual" pivot point, or instant center, that moves along the entire suspension path and determines the trajectory of rear wheel center movement. This virtual pivot makes this design highly tunable, allowing us to deliver the precise ride characteristics we demand, giving you the best riding experience no matter what Santa Cruz bike you ride.
