Santa Cruz V10 8 CC MX DH X01 M downhill bike Green is a downhill MTB designed for racing and bike park use. It sits in a higher performance class, where frame stiffness, high-speed stability, and durable components are key. In the MX setup, it combines a 29" front wheel and a 27.5" rear wheel for added confidence on rough tracks and quicker direction changes.
At its core is a Carbon CC composite frame with VPP™ suspension design and 208 mm of travel. The V10 platform is built around downhill geometry, with an emphasis on stability in steep sections and support under braking. The MX configuration changes how the bike handles in berms and when shifting your weight, because the rear wheel has a smaller diameter. This specific build is supplied in size M.
Drivetrain: Shifting is based on SRAM X01 DH in a 1x7 configuration for downhill tracks. It uses SRAM X01 DH DUB 83 cranks with a 36t chainring and a SRAM X01 DH 7 cassette.
Brakes: Stopping power comes from SRAM Maven Silver hydraulic disc brakes. Rotors are SRAM HS2 220 mm up front and 200 mm in the rear.
Wheels and tires: Reserve 30|HD rims in 6069 aluminum are paired with Industry Nine 1/1 or DT Swiss 350 hubs. Tires are a Maxxis Assegai 29x2.5 up front and a Maxxis Minion DHR II 27.5x2.5 in the rear, in the 3C MaxxGrip DH compound.
Cockpit: OneUp Aluminum Bar handlebars are 800 mm wide with a 35 mm clamp diameter. A OneUp Direct Mount Stem is complemented by a Fizik Alpaca Gravita X5 saddle and a Burgtec Aluminum Post 31.6 seatpost.
The combination of 208 mm of travel and a FOX 40 Float Factory fork with 203 mm targets control in rough terrain and at high speeds. The Fox DHX2 Factory coil shock provides predictable mid-stroke support and consistent behavior on landings. The MX setup increases front-end stability in rough sections while also making it easier to snap the rear end through tight corners. The seven-speed DH drivetrain prioritizes secure chain retention and fast shifting over a wide climbing range.
This Santa Cruz V10 specification is aimed at experienced riders who ride downhill, race, and tackle demanding bike park tracks. You’ll appreciate it if your priorities are stability, braking power, and wheel durability through repeated impacts. Within the downhill category, it competes with models offering around 200 mm of travel and race-oriented geometry.
