Road cyclists and gravel enthusiasts deserve equipment that meets professional standards. The compact construction is designed with an emphasis on maximum ventilation – 22 vent openings are connected with deep internal channels that efficiently dissipate heat and ensure a comfortable climate even at high speed. The integrated MIPS Evolve Core system enhances protection against rotational forces during impact and works in conjunction with the premium Roc Loc® 5 Air fit system for perfect positioning on the head.
Strength and safety are supported by the In-mold construction complemented by the internal Thermoformed SL Roll Cage™ reinforcement, which increases structural resistance without unnecessary weight increase.
Everyday comfort is ensured by antibacterial Ionic+™ padding, practical integrated Eyewear Grippers for glasses, and reflective elements for better visibility.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall.
