Syntax is a sporty-cut helmet packed with modern technologies, combining aerodynamic shape with excellent ventilation. Its versatility makes it perfect for fast flat sections as well as challenging climbs – an ideal choice for cyclists who want one helmet for everything.
The proven Roc Loc® 5 fit system ensures a perfect fit on the head with precise adjustment options. In the variant with MIPS technology, the sliding MIPS layer is integrated directly into this system, which helps reduce rotational forces on the head in an oblique impact.
The In-mold (Full Wrap) construction ensures a strong and durable bond between the shell and the lining, while 25 ventilation openings with the Wind Tunnel™ system effectively support airflow and maintain pleasant thermal comfort even during intense riding.
Comfort is provided by CoolFit padding and ultra-light Slimline straps, which enhance comfort without unnecessary weight increase.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
