Ultralight frame with storage space
The Advanced Composite carbon frame allows for brisk acceleration, while the internal routing of brake hoses and cables simplifies the cockpit and creates space for necessary accessories. Modern frame geometry offers a more aggressive riding position, enhances traction and stability, and provides more confidence on descents and at higher speeds. The easily accessible storage space, cleverly integrated into the down tube, allows you to safely transport tools, nutrition, and other essentials.
Exceptional comfort and control
Lower seatstays of smaller diameter improve the absorption of shocks and vibrations. Components like D-Fuse also contribute to higher comfort, thus reducing fatigue on long and rough trails. The seatpost flexes slightly under load and the handlebars are based on the same principle, yet without reducing stiffness when turning, climbing, or riding out of the saddle (note: the Devote Advanced 1 model comes with a factory-installed telescoping seatpost). The handlebars feature "gravel" flared ends for a comfortable and ergonomic grip.
Unmatched versatility
Thanks to the flip chip system located in the rear dropouts, you can change the wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase offers more responsive control and greater "agility" of the bike. A longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds and traction, while also increasing clearance for the rear tire (up to a width of 53 mm). The frame also allows for a choice of seatpost type – either a Giant D-Fuse seatpost for more comfort or a standard round (including telescopic) seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 or 27.2 mm can be used.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
