Ridley Grifn A GRX600 gravel bike Dark Violet Cameleon is an aluminium gravel bike for all-road riding, long days in the saddle, and bikepacking. It uses the same geometry as the carbon Grifn. The spec targets the mid-performance range, with an emphasis on a functional gear range and hydraulic disc brakes.
The Grifn A frame is made from an aluminium alloy and uses a 12x142 mm thru-axle for precise rear wheel tracking. The design includes a UDH dropout for compatibility with modern derailleurs. The frame has multiple mounting points, fender mounts, and internal routing for a dynamo. The geometry follows an all-road concept, prioritizing stability on gravel and confidence on descents.
The 4ZA Allroad 7E7 fork complements precise handling on wider tires and supports clean cable routing. Maximum tire clearance is 38 mm in a 2x configuration. Frame sizes are XS 51, S 54, M 57, L 60 and XL 63.
Drivetrain: Shimano GRX600 shifting runs a 2x12 system. A Shimano GRX 800 Braze-On front derailleur and a Shimano 105 11-36 cassette are paired with 46-30 crankset.
Brakes: Shimano GRX-series hydraulic disc brakes are integrated into the GRX600 levers. Braking performance suits both gravel riding and a loaded bike.
Wheels and tires: Shimano RS171 DB wheelset uses the 700c size. Vittoria Terreno Dry tires are 700x38c.
Cockpit: 4ZA Stratos Gravel handlebars are available in widths from 420 to 480 mm. A Forza Stratos stem is matched with a Forza Stratos 27.2 mm seatpost with 15 mm offset and a Selle Italia Model X saddle.
The aluminium frame with thru-axles supports lateral stiffness during acceleration and holds a line through faster sections. The 46-30 gearing combined with an 11-36 cassette provides low gears for long gravel climbs. 700x38c tires increase mechanical comfort and improve traction on dry surfaces. Hydraulic discs help with modulation when braking on rough ground.
This bike is designed for experienced riders who mix asphalt, gravel, and farm tracks in a single ride. Thanks to its mounting points and fender mounts, it’s also suitable for year-round commuting and bikepacking. Compared with pure race gravel bikes, it puts more emphasis on versatile component choices and practical details.
