The MET Parachute MCR MIPS helmet is a full-face helmet for enduro, trail, and e-MTB riding.
Thanks to the innovative MCR system (Magnetic Chinbar Release), the helmet can easily and quickly be converted from a full-face to an open-face variant, providing maximum flexibility and comfort during the ride.
Safety is ensured by the MIPS technology, which reduces rotational forces during an impact.
For a perfect fit to the head, it is equipped with the BOA-FS1 Fit System and a Fidlock magnetic buckle, which allows easy and secure fastening.
Optimal ventilation is ensured by 21 ventilation holes with internal air channels, which keep the head cool even during intense performances.
The package includes removable cheek pads in two sizes for individual adjustment and a soft helmet pouch for easy carrying and protection.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
Fidlock, it is the cradle of innovative magnetic closures and attachments with mechanical lock. The company has been leading the development of these systems since the company was founded in 2007. Magnetic systems can be found, for example, in helmet closures or bicycle bottle cages. Reversing the polarity and unlocking the locks is possible with one hand, by turning or tilting and pushing the locks.
