POC Otocon Race MIPS is a well-ventilated bike helmet featuring lightweight construction, a removable grid, and a Race Lock dial for easy size adjustment.
The helmet has advanced ventilation, driving air through the helmet to ensure comfort for the rider even in hot summer weather.
The ability to remove the grid at the front or cheek pads is especially appreciated by more demanding riders.
Thanks to its lightness and ventilation, it is suitable for enduro races, weekends spent in bike parks, or technical riding in the backyard.
The visor on the helmet will detach in a fall and thus does not cause any unnecessary injuries. An additional benefit is its accommodation for a GoPro mount at its underside.
The interior of the helmet is made from two materials to achieve the lowest possible weight and also offers adjustments for fine-tuning the fit at the rear of the helmet.
This highly ventilated helmet is equipped with integrated technology, including Mips® rotational impact protection, an identification NFC Medical ID from twICEme®, and a RECCO® element to enhance safety.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Near-Field Communication systém (NFC) is a short-range wireless communication technology.
