Ridley Kanzo Adventure Alu GRX400 gravel bike Bronze Green/Black is an aluminum gravel bike focused on combining off-road riding and bikepacking. It sits in the mid-performance category with an emphasis on practical equipment for long routes. It’s designed for riders who care about tire clearance, mounting points, and stability off the asphalt.
The Kanzo Adventure A frame is made from an aluminum alloy and uses TA12-142 mm thru-axles for precise tracking with a loaded bike. The design integrates mounting points for bags and internal routing for a dynamo. The geometry aims for confidence off-road thanks to a slacker head tube and a lower bottom bracket. Frame clearance is 47 mm for a double chainring and 52 mm for a single chainring, expanding tire options.
Drivetrain: Shifting is handled by Shimano GRX400 in a 2x10 setup. Shimano GRX 600 cranks use 46–30 chainrings, and the Shimano HG50 cassette has an 11–36 range.
Brakes: The bike is set up for disc brakes in a Disc configuration. The braking system matches gravel use with an emphasis on control and modulation off-road.
Wheels and tires: The wheelset is Shimano RS171 DB in 700c. Vittoria Terreno Dry tires are sized 700x45c and feature a fast-rolling tread for dry gravel.
Cockpit: 4ZA Stratos Gravel handlebars come in widths from 400 to 460 mm depending on size. The Forza Stratos stem is 80 mm long, and the Forza Stratos seatpost uses a 27.2 mm diameter.
The aluminum frame with thru-axles increases lateral stiffness, which you’ll notice when accelerating out of the saddle and on long climbs. The slacker head tube angle supports stability on rough surfaces and in faster descents. The lower bottom bracket improves tracking through corners on gravel. The 46–30 gearing paired with an 11–36 cassette provides range for pace on the flats as well as slow, loaded climbing.
This bike is aimed at experienced riders who want a gravel bike for long rides, gravel roads, and multi-day bikepacking with bags. Thanks to its mounting points and dynamo compatibility, it’s also suitable for ultra-long rides with lighting. Compared with pure race gravel bikes, it prioritizes stability and flexible tire choices.
