The Salewa Ortles Hybrid TWR jacket was designed for stop-and-go activities, such as ski mountaineering, alpine mountaineering or climbing, where periods of intense physical activity are often followed by static breaks, putting you at risk of hypothermia.
The special thermo-regulating TirolWool Celliant materials are designed to meet the specific insulation needs of different body parts during inconsistent and demanding activities in cold conditions. The durable Durastretch inserts make the jacket the perfect partner for demanding alpine activities. The TirolWool Celliant Hybrid Insulation is a Salewa proprietary lightweight insulation material that combines innovative polyester fibres enhanced with thermo-reactive minerals and wool sourced from Tirolean sheep. It is a waterproof, breathable material that keeps you warm longer, even when wet. Thanks to its small size, this jacket is easy to pack and may even fit into your pocket.
The jacket also comprises a non-removable insulated hood with an elasticated front collar and adjustment system at the back of the head, a wide ergonomically shaped front collar, ergonomically shaped sleeves, elasticated cuffs at hem and sleeves, a front zip with windproof flap, 2 external zipped pockets, a chest zipped pocket, and an internal pocket into which you may also pack the jacket. The jacket is made from various materials. The inserts are elastic, soft and windproof. Thanks to its design, the jacket fits well for any body shape (body-mapping), optimal moisture wicking to prevent colds.
