When kids set off on the pump track, in the woods, or on the way to the playground, you want them to feel confident and still enjoy the ride. The Smith Sidekick JR. MIPS kids’ helmet in Matte Lollipop Fade combines a playful look with protection you can rely on.
Mips® Safety System helps reduce rotational forces during angled impacts, which are common in kids’ bike falls. Thanks to this, the protection feels well thought out—not just “on paper.”
Extended rear coverage and an MTB shape give kids the feel of a “big” helmet, but without unnecessary weight. On the trail and on bike paths, the helmet stays stable.
Adjustment via the dial makes it easier to get a proper fit, even as your child grows quickly. Fine-tuning helps keep the helmet from slipping as they move.
Ventilation with 12 vents and the AirEvac™ system support airflow and help reduce goggle fogging. This means your child can see better and is less distracted by heat.
The shell construction is a lightweight in-mold design that bonds the shell and impact-absorbing foam into a single unit.
The helmet weighs approximately 310 g in size S.
Youth X-Small fits head circumferences of 48–52 cm, and Youth Small fits 51–55 cm.
Safety is confirmed by CPSC, CE EN 1078, and AS/NZS2063 certifications.
Smith Sidekick JR. MIPS is a kids’ MTB helmet for mountain biking as well as relaxed rides with children. It offers a sensible balance of coverage, ventilation, and easy adjustment for everyday use.
The integrated visor adds protection from sun and small debris. A practical helmet bag included in the package makes carrying and storage easier.
