The Uvex i-Volute MIPS cycling helmet is the ideal choice for riders on the road and on gravel. The lightweight Double Inmould construction combines an impact-absorbing EPS layer with a multi-layer polycarbonate shell. The result is high impact resistance while keeping weight to a minimum – an ideal combination for road cycling and gravel adventures.

Double In-Mold

As with the In-Mold construction, polystyrene is compressed and injected into the polycarbonate shell, forming an isolated whole. The difference is the use of the inside of the helmet and the back for more protection of the skull.

Monomatic

The fastening mechanism located under the chin has several positions and can be easily adjusted with one hand while riding. Its flat design prevents twisting in the hands. Monomatic® is, without exception, standard equipment on all Uvex helmets.

Mips

Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
