Advanced Composite carbon frame is built on a full-carbon frame, rear triangle, and top suspension rocker made from Advanced Composite material. These frames are manufactured in Giant's own factories using raw, high-quality materials, with the most advanced methods and processes. This results in frames that exhibit high stiffness, low weight, and excellent riding characteristics.
Modern enduro geometry meets all demands for a modern enduro bike. This includes a shorter rear chainstay (439 mm), a longer top tube (reach in size M is 451 mm), and of course, the "right" angles, which numerically are a 64.6° head angle and a 76.4° seat angle.
Excellent Maestro suspension provides adequate travel, complemented by a 170 mm travel fork at the front. Four carefully positioned pivot points and two linkages together create one virtual (floating) pivot point for the rear triangle. This design neutralizes braking forces on the rear and ensures the system remains fully active and highly sensitive to all types of bumps, without undesirable bobbing while pedaling.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
The rear suspension rocker arm is made from one piece of carbon composite. The essence is the multidirectional deposition of carbon fibers and the innovative manufacturing process of extremely high pressure shaping. The resulting product is lighter and at the same time stiffer and stronger than the same aluminum product.
Four strategically positioned pivot points and two linkages all work together to create a single floating pivot for the most active, efficient and independent suspension system on the trail.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture.
