Nukeproof Giga Carbon Pro 290 T-GX is a full-suspension enduro mountain bike on a 29" platform. It sits in the higher performance tier and is aimed at experienced riders who prioritize speed and stability in demanding terrain. The build centers around the SRAM AXS wireless drivetrain and long-travel suspension.
The foundation is a carbon composite frame with a monocoque construction made from UD carbon fibers and 170 mm of rear travel. The design uses an adjustable main pivot to tune suspension progression and MAX bearings for long service life. The geometry is enduro-focused, with a 63.5° head angle and a steep 77.75–78° seat angle depending on size. Sizes S through XXL cover a reach of 430–515 mm and a chainstay length of 435–445 mm.
Drivetrain: SRAM AXS POD shifting controls a 1x12 setup with a SRAM GX AXS T-Type Eagle rear derailleur. The SRAM GX CS1275 T-Type cassette has a 10–52T range, and the SRAM GX Eagle DUB crankset uses a 73 mm threaded bottom bracket.
Brakes: SRAM Maven Bronze disc brakes use organic pads front and rear. SRAM Centerline 2.0 rotors measure 200 mm on both wheels.
Wheels and tires: Nukeproof Horizon V2 wheels are 29" with Boost axles 15x110 mm and 148x12 mm. Schwalbe Magic Mary and Schwalbe Tacky Chan tires are 29x2.4" in a TLE tubeless-ready version.
Cockpit: Nukeproof Horizon V2 handlebars have a 25 mm rise and are 780 mm wide on S/M and 800 mm on L through XXL. The Tranz-X YS108 dropper post has internal routing and 150–230 mm of travel depending on size.
Long travel—180 mm up front and 170 mm in the rear—puts the bike firmly in the enduro category with extra margin for hard hits. High torsional stiffness in the front triangle supports precise tracking at high speed. The rear end is designed with controlled flex, which improves traction on rough ground. The steep seat angle keeps your position centered over the bottom bracket on climbs, while the slack head angle increases stability on descents.
This bike is intended for advanced and race-focused enduro riders who prefer a 29" platform and long travel. It’s well suited to technical tracks, natural descents, and demanding bikepark sections, where you’ll appreciate the brakes with large rotors. Compared to shorter-travel trail models, it requires a more active riding style in slow, tight sections.
