Nukeproof Mega 290/297 Pro Alloy Eagle 90 bike Yellow is a full-suspension enduro mountain bike with a mixed wheel size setup. It’s aimed at experienced riders who prioritize speed in rough terrain and ease of maintenance. It sits in the higher performance category with equipment suitable for racing as well as demanding trails.
The Nukeproof Mega V4 297 Alloy frame is made from 6061 T6 aluminum alloy and uses triple-butted, hydroformed tubes. The rear end runs a Horst link system with 165 mm of travel. The geometry follows the long, low, slack concept with a 64° head angle. Reach is 430–515 mm depending on size, and chainstay length is 435 or 440 mm.
Drivetrain: SRAM Eagle 90 shifting runs a 1x12 setup. The SRAM CS1270 T-Type cassette has a 10–52 tooth range, and the bottom bracket is a 73 mm threaded unit.
Brakes: SRAM Maven Bronze disc brakes use organic pads. SRAM Centerline 2.0 rotors are 200 mm front and rear.
Wheels and tires: Nukeproof Neutron V2 wheelset combines a 29" front and 27.5" rear. Schwalbe Magic Mary Evo 29x2.4" and Schwalbe Tacky Chan Evo 27.5x2.4" tires come in TLE casing.
Cockpit: Nukeproof Neutron V2 handlebars have a 25 mm rise and a width of 780 or 800 mm depending on size. The Tranz-X YS108 dropper post has 150–230 mm travel depending on size.
The mixed wheel size speeds up direction changes while the 29" front wheel still holds its line in rough descents. The aluminum frame with butted tubing targets high torsional stiffness under repeated impacts. The Horst link kinematics are tuned for a sensitive initial stroke and solid mid-stroke support when pumping. Higher anti-squat helps when climbing without noticeable bobbing.
This bike is designed for riders who tackle enduro tracks, natural trails, and bike-park descents at high speed. It’s suitable for racing as well as long-term riding where durability and easy service matter. Compared to pure 29" enduro bikes, it offers a more lively rear end in tight sections.
