Nukeproof Mega Carbon Pro 297 T-GX is a full-suspension enduro MTB for riders who prioritize speed and control on technical tracks. It sits in a higher performance class with an emphasis on racing use and long service life. The mullet concept combines 29" up front and 27.5" out back for both stability and agility.
At its core is a carbon composite frame with UD monocoque construction and a T700/T800 fiber layup. The rear end uses a Horst link suspension design and rear travel is 165 mm. The frame features internal cable routing via a tube-in-tube system and a threaded 73 mm bottom bracket. The geometry follows the Long, Low, Slack and Steep concept, with a 64° head tube angle and an effective seat tube angle of 77.5–78°.
Sizes range from S to XXL, with the 297 wheel configuration for S–L and 290 for XL–XXL. Reach is 430–515 mm and stack is 621–657 mm depending on size. Chainstay length is 435 mm for S–L and 440 mm for XL–XXL. Wheelbase stretches from 1192.5–1299.7 mm, reflecting its enduro focus on stability at high speed.
Drivetrain: Shifting is handled by the SRAM AXS POD and a SRAM Transmission GX rear derailleur in a 1x12 setup. The SRAM GX CS1275 T-Type cassette offers a 10–52 tooth range, and the SRAM GX Eagle cranks use the DUB standard.
Brakes: SRAM Maven Bronze hydraulic disc brakes use sintered pads. SRAM Centerline 2.0 rotors measure 200 mm front and rear.
Wheels and tires: Nukeproof Horizon V2 wheels come in a mullet setup with 29" up front and 27.5" in the rear. Schwalbe Magic Mary Evo 29x2,4" and Schwalbe Tacky Chan Evo 27,5x2,4" tires are tubeless-ready in TLE spec.
Cockpit: Nukeproof Horizon V2 handlebars have a 25 mm rise and are 780 mm wide in S/M or 800 mm on larger sizes. The Tranz-X YS108 dropper post has internal routing and 150–230 mm of travel depending on size.
The combination of a 29" front wheel and a 64° head angle boosts confidence in line choice on descents and in rough terrain. Horst link kinematics deliver a supple start to the stroke and ramp up toward the end for control on big hits. The 27.5" rear end speeds up direction changes in tight sections and makes it easier to work with your center of gravity. The threaded bottom bracket and robust frame protection support use in demanding conditions and make servicing simpler.
This bike is aimed at experienced riders who ride enduro tracks, technical trails, and bike parks with high demands on suspension performance. Racers looking for mullet geometry with modern wireless shifting control will appreciate it as well. Within its category, it targets enduro models with around 160–170 mm of travel and an emphasis on downhill stability.
