Santa Cruz Hightower 4 mountain bike Red 70 is a full-suspension MTB for trail riding and lighter enduro on 29" wheels. It’s built around 160/150 mm travel and a 1x12 drivetrain for technical terrain as well as longer climbs. The spec targets the upper mid-range, where the balance between suspension performance, durability, and weight matters.
The Carbon C composite frame uses the VPP™ suspension system and is designed for 29" wheels. The rear end delivers 150 mm of travel, matching a modern trail-to-enduro focus. The concept relies on a more aggressive trail geometry for stability on descents and support in fast corners. The bike’s total weight is 15,74 kg.
Drivetrain: Shifting is handled by SRAM 70 Eagle T-Type in a 1x12 setup without a front derailleur. The SRAM XS 1270 Eagle T-Type cassette offers a 10–52 tooth range, and the SRAM 70 Eagle DUB cranks run a 32-tooth chainring.
Brakes: SRAM DB8 hydraulic disc brakes use SRAM Centerline rotors. Rotor diameter is 200 mm front and 200 mm rear.

Compared to shorter-travel trail bikes, it offers a bigger margin on descents, but it requires more active handling in tight corners.
We use the same proprietary processes for our "C Carbon" frames as we do for our highest spec frames to retain the same legendary strength and stiffness that our CC frames are known for, but there is a slight weight penalty. We've achieved this by using a different grade of carbon material that results in minimal weight gain.
