The lightweight ALUXX aluminum frame combined with a full carbon fork perfectly balances stiffness for maximum pedaling efficiency with compliance for high comfort. The frame geometry combines an endurance riding position with a shorter rear triangle for precise handling, agility, and perfect control over the bike. A longer reach (i.e., the horizontal distance from the center of the bottom bracket to the center top of the head tube), a shorter stem, and a lower bottom bracket enhance stability on rough terrain. High comfort: The new frame features lower seatstays with a smaller diameter to further improve shock and vibration absorption. The specially designed D-Fuse seatpost also contributes to higher comfort by flexing slightly under load. Terrain adaptation: An important innovation is the flip chip rear dropout, which allows adjustment of the wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase increases the bike's "agility," while a longer wheelbase setting improves stability at higher speeds and increases clearance for the rear tire (up to 53 mm). The new frame also allows for seatpost type choice (thanks to a special adapter), so either the "flexing" Giant D-Fuse seatpost or a standard round 30.9 mm seatpost can be used, enabling the use of a dropper post.
