Ridley Grifn A GRX400 gravel bike Chain Silver Gray is an aluminium gravel bike for all-road use, gravel riding, and commuting. It’s aimed at riders looking for a practical platform for bikepacking and year-round use. The Shimano GRX400 build and Shimano RS171 DB wheelset place it in the mid-performance category.
The Grifn A frame is made from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy and is based on an all-road geometry for a mix of road and unpaved surfaces. The design includes multiple mounting points for accessories, including fender mounts. It also features internal routing for a dynamo cable and a UDH hanger for the modern derailleur standard. The rear axle uses the 12x142 mm thru-axle standard, and the bike is available in sizes XS to XL.
Drivetrain: Shimano GRX400 shifting runs a 2x10 configuration. Shimano GRX 600 cranks use 46-30 chainrings, and the Shimano HG50 cassette offers an 11-36 range.
Brakes: The bike uses disc brakes from the Shimano GRX400 group. The braking system is designed for gravel use in mud as well as long descents.
Wheels and tires: Shimano RS171 DB wheelset is built for disc brakes and gravel loads. Vittoria Terreno Dry tires in 700x38c suit fast gravel riding.
Cockpit: 4ZA Stratos Gravel handlebars are paired with a Forza Stratos stem. The Forza Stratos seatpost has a 27.2 mm diameter and 15 mm offset, and the saddle is a Selle Italia Model X.
The 6061-T6 aluminium frame delivers direct power transfer when riding out of the saddle and when accelerating on the flats. The all-road geometry supports stability on faster gravel descents and confidence through corners. The 700x38c tires increase traction and damp vibrations on rougher surfaces. The 46-30 gearing and 11-36 cassette help you maintain cadence even on longer climbs with bags.
Ridley Grifn A is intended for experienced riders who switch between asphalt, gravel, and light off-road terrain without needing suspension. It’s well suited to bikepacking thanks to the mounting points and the option to fit fenders. Compared to pure race-focused gravel frames, it emphasizes versatility and accessory compatibility.
