The new carbon Revolt X with a suspension fork is designed for even more adventurous gravel riding, combining efficiency and control confidence with improved capabilities for riding in rougher terrain.
Carbon Frame and Suspension Fork
The base of the Revolt X Advanced Pro model is a very lightweight, highly rigid, yet very comfortable Advanced Composite carbon frame. The modern gravel frame geometry is fully optimized for use with a 40 mm travel suspension fork – this is a fork designed specifically for gravel bikes, allowing you to ride through rougher terrain more smoothly and confidently.
High Comfort
The frame has lower-positioned seat stays with a smaller diameter for better shock and vibration absorption. The Contact SL XR D-Fuse handlebars, which flex slightly under load without reducing rigidity during cornering, climbing, or out-of-saddle riding, also contribute to higher comfort. For greater comfort at the rear of the bike, a telescopic seatpost is used, providing slight flex as well.
Adaptation of the Bike to the Terrain
The flip chip dropout allows the wheelbase to be changed by 10 mm – a shorter wheelbase provides greater agility, while a longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds and increases the rear tire clearance up to 53 mm. The frame also allows for a choice of seatpost type – besides the classic round 30.9 mm, the Giant D-Fuse seatpost, which excellently absorbs shocks and vibrations, can also be used.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
The flip chip system is a two-position eccentric insert in the rear frame feet that allows you to easily change the wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase gives you a more agile nike, while setting it to a longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds while increasing the space for the rear tire (up to 53 mm wide).
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
