Ultralight frame with storage space
The Advanced Composite material carbon frame allows for quick acceleration, while the internal routing of brake hoses and cables streamlines the cockpit and creates space for necessary accessories. The modern frame geometry brings a more aggressive riding position, improves traction and stability, and provides more confidence in descents and at higher speeds. Easily accessible storage space, cleverly integrated into the lower frame tube, allows for safe transport of tools, nutrition, and other necessities.
Excellent comfort and control
Lower positioned seat stays with a smaller diameter improve shock and vibration absorption. The D-Fuse components also contribute to higher comfort and reduced fatigue on long and rough routes – the seat post flexes slightly under load and the handlebars are designed on the same principle, without reducing stiffness during cornering, climbing, or off-saddle riding (note: the Devote Advanced 1 model comes with a telescopic seat post as standard). For a comfortable and ergonomic grip, the handlebars are widened at the lower grip.
Unparalleled versatility
Thanks to the dual-position flip chip system located in the rear dropouts, you can change the wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase provides more responsive handling and greater "agility" of the bike. A longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds and traction while also increasing the clearance for the rear tire (up to 53 mm width). The frame also allows for the choice of seat post type – either the Giant D-Fuse seat post for higher comfort or a standard round (also telescopic) seat post with a diameter of 30.9 or 27.2 mm can be used.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
