Liv Tempt E+ EX BOX Sandshell electric mountain bike is a women’s e-MTB for riding off-road, on paved roads, and for commuting. The EX version combines road-ready equipment with hardtail geometry and a high-torque mid-drive motor. Its spec targets the mid-range category, where functional components and handling make the difference.
The frame is made from ALUXX aluminum and uses an Overdrive 1 1/2"–1 1/8" head tube for increased front-end stiffness. The integrated KSA40 mount is designed for a kickstand, which matches the EX version’s focus. The bike in size XS uses 27.5" wheels to maintain manageable handling for smaller riders. Front suspension is provided by an SR Suntour XCM coil fork with 100 mm of travel.
Drivetrain: Shimano Cues shifting runs a 9-speed setup with a Shimano Cues 9-speed rear derailleur. The Shimano Cues cassette has an 11–41 tooth range, and the cranks use a 36-tooth chainring.
Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes use 180 mm rotors front and rear. Control is via Shimano MT-200 levers.
Wheels and tires: Liv GX03V wheelset is aluminum, and in size XS it comes in 27.5". Maxxis Rekon 27.5x2.4" tires have a wire bead and a 60 TPI casing.
Cockpit: Giant Connect TR Riser handlebars have a 31.8 mm clamp diameter and a width of 690–750 mm. The Giant 30.9 mm seatpost has a two-bolt clamp, and the saddle is the Liv Ergo Trail ESG.
The combination of the ALUXX aluminum frame and the Overdrive head tube supports precise tracking under braking and through corners. The Giant SyncDrive Sport 2 mid-drive motor with 75 Nm of torque helps on steeper climbs at lower cadence. PedalPlus sensing with six sensors refines power delivery and reduces sudden changes in assistance. Maxxis Rekon tires in 2.4" width add traction on gravel and forest roads.
The Tempt E+ EX is designed for riders who want a hardtail with electric assistance for a mix of trails, bike paths, and city riding. Practical accessories are aimed at regular commuting, but the geometry and 100 mm travel still suit recreational MTB use. Thanks to compatibility with the EnergyPak Plus 200 Wh range-extender battery, it also makes sense for longer rides.
